Vanderbilt baseball hosts UCLA for its first series of 2023 beginning Friday.
The No. 9 Commodores (3-2) began their season by taking two out of three at the College Baseball Showdown in Arlington, Texas before splitting a pair of midweeks with Central Arkansas and UAB. No. 15 UCLA swept Omaha in its season-opening series then took a midweek from Pepperdine.
Enrique Bradfield Jr. is also looking to break the program’s career stolen base record; he needs just one more stolen base to do so.
With a series against a Pac-12 opponent that also hopes to be in the hosting conversation, the Commodores have the chance to bank quality wins early.
