Paul Skrbina Nashville Tennessean
On the day they learned they’d be without forward Ryan Johansen for approximately 12 weeks, the Nashville Predators are looking to score a victory Thursday against the San Jose Sharks in California.
Johansen, whose lower right leg was cut by a skate blade Tuesday night, had surgery Wednesday afternoon.
Forward Filip Forsberg also likely will miss his sixth consecutive game with an upper-body injury.
This is the first meeting between the teams since the Predators swept two games from the Sharks to open the season in Prague in the NHL Global Series.
The Predators are 27-22-6. The Sharks are 18-29-11.
