Vanderbilt basketball score vs. Auburn: Live updates

Vanderbilt basketball hasn’t won five consecutive games since February 2015. That’s what the Commodores are hoping to do Saturday against Auburn.

The Tigers (18-8, 8-5 SEC) are the best team remaining on Vanderbilt’s schedule. But they’ve played much better at home this season, with its three road wins coming over the SEC’s three worst teams. Both teams bring momentum into the matchup as the Commodores followed up their Tennessee buzzer-beater with wins over Florida and South Carolina, and Auburn is coming off a blowout of Missouri.

Auburn has a lockdown defense but has struggled to shoot. Vanderbilt also hasn’t shot well, but has a better offense than the Tigers overall due to its ability to avoid turnovers and get offensive rebounds. That should make for a stylistic clash. The Tigers are led by point guard Wendell Green Jr. (13.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists per game).
