ARLINGTON, Texas — Vanderbilt baseball saw a bit of drama at the end but still closed out an 11-9 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday.
The Commodores (1-1) face Texas (0-2) in the final game of the College Baseball Showdown tournament Sunday. The Longhorns lost on a walk-off to Missouri on Saturday.
Neither team has announced a starting pitcher for the matchup.
In Saturday’s matchup, Vanderbilt was led by Calvin Hewett (2-for-4, 2B, 3B, BB), Matthew Polk (1-for-4, 3B) and RJ Austin (2-for-4, stolen base).
The Longhorns have struggled to hit, with just two hits in each of its two games in the opening-weekend event.
