Vanderbilt baseball begins its season at the College Baseball Showdown on Friday hoping to put last season behind it.
The ninth-ranked Commodores lost in the regional in 2022, snapping a streak of trips to super regionals at four. But it’s hard to count Vanderbilt out, especially with a tough schedule that is sure to keep the RPI high and give plenty of chances for marquee wins.
That begins this weekend with games against No. 17 TCU, No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 24 Texas. All games will be played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the home ballpark of the Texas Rangers.
