Roman Josi’s power-play goal 4:41 into the second tied the score 1-1.
Colton Sissons put the Predators ahead briefly when he scored nearly four minutes later.
But Lawson Crouse tied it 2-2 less than four minutes after that.
Crouse untied it 4:20 into the third, a goal that stood as the winner.
Coming off an overtime victory against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Predators were looking for their second straight win.
Predators forward Filip Forsberg is day-to-day with an upper-body injury he suffered Saturday against the Flyers. The Predators recalled forward Philip Tomasino from Milwaukee on Monday morning.
The Predators are 25-20-6. The Coyotes are 18-28-8.
