Murfreesboro, which is about 35 miles southeast of downtown Nashville, encompasses seven ZIP codes, one of which is 37128, on the west side of I-24.
The area this ZIP code encompasses has nature spots including Barfield Crescent Park and Cason Trailhead, both of which are part of the Murfreesboro Greenway System.
A few miles outside this ZIP but within the city of Murfreesboro are the historic Oaklands Mansion, Middle Tennessee State University and Stones River National Battlefield.

Home prices rise
Data show the median sales price of home in 37128 continues to rise. From mid-February 2022 through now, the median sales price was $430,000. During that same time period in 2021-2022, median sales price was $380,000. The prior year, the median sales price was $305,000.
Closings dip
Home buyers closed on 1,864 homes from mid-February 2022 through mid-February 2023. That’s down from the 2,397 homes closed on during mid-February 2021 through mid-February 2022. Current inventory is 297 homes.
Homes sell quickly
Homes spent about 27 days on the market this past year. Last year, from mid-February 2021-mid-February 2022, homes spent about 18 days on the market.
